Dr. Karen Kyllo  

Deputy Vice President,

SGS Global Softlines Services

Dr. Karen Kyllo is the Deputy Vice President of Global Softlines for SGS. In this capacity, Dr. Kyllo is responsible for devising business strategy in the Americas as well as her global responsibilities for the textile and footwear industry. Dr. Kyllo has extensive experience in providing technical and regulatory advice for retail clients, developing training on regulatory requirements, general textiles, dyeing and finishing, and interrelationship between textile properties and performance for international clients and global staff. Dr. Kyllo also works with clients in development of performance specifications and customized testing programs. Dr. Kyllo is a recognized speaker on textile topics and especially on US regulations.

Dr. Kyllo has a PhD in textiles from Purdue University, a MS from Kansas State University and a BS from Iowa State University in the US. She is very active in both AATCC and ASTM and has held numerous positions in the organizations and has been a US delegate to ISO committees on washing and colourfastness for the past 16 years.
