SGS - THE FIRST ORGANIZATION TO LAUNCH IRCA APPROVED CPD INTRODUCTION COURSE TO ISO/DIS 9001: 2015
ISO 9001: 2015 UPDATE
Following the publication of the ISO/DIS 9001version in May, SGS has introduced a new training course ‘Introduction toISO/DIS 9001:2015'. SGS is the first professional learning and developmentorganisation to offer the one-day course as IRCA Approved CPD. The course issuitable for any organization that holds a valid ISO 9001 Quality ManagementSystems certificate, is interested in becoming certified or in general keen onlearning about the updates.
The approval by IRCA, the world’s foremost auditor registration body, is astrong merit. In addition to the 10,000 IRCA registered auditors choosing theirCPD, auditors registered with other bodies and professionals from other sectorswill recognise the value and importance of the IRCA name.
ABOUT ISO/DIS 9001:2015
The Draft International Standard (DIS) version ofISO 9001 contains a few main areas of proposed changes:
1. Structureand terminology, including incorporation of Annex SL framework;
2. Thewider internal and external context of a organisation’s Quality ManagementSystems (QMS) (Clauses 4 and 6);
3. DetailedQuality Management System (QMS) requirements’ (broadly clauses 5 & 7 – 10).
And most notably, the DIS version encourages moreexternal focus on quality management as part of a risk-based approach.
HOW CAN SGS HELP?

The official ISO 9001:2015 working group (ISO/TC 176/SC 2)responsible for the development and publishing of the ISO 9001:2015 standardwill develop a matrix showing a correlation between the clauses of ISO9001:2008and ISO/DIS 9001:2015, which will be available.
