J AKARTA, INDONESIA, 8 September 2014 SGS, the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company will announce the launch of SGS Academy in conjunction with the 12th SGS Indonesia Quality Network Conference (QNC) held at JCC Plenary Hall, Assembly 1-3, Jakarta, Indonesia, on 9 September 2014, from 2pm -7pm. Each year, thousands of companies from various industries join the QNC to share their ideas and experiences against current market challenges, discover new concepts, expand their knowledge about international standards, certification and best practices. This initiative aims to help companies to stay ahead in the competitive market place and achieve business success and continuity effectively.

The theme for this year’s QNC is “L earning and D evelopment in line with the SGS Academy launch in Indonesia.  SGS Academy Indonesia is one of 35 SGS worldwide centers of excellence directed towards nurturing talent and enabling continuous organisational progression to meet local training and talent development needs. It focuses on contributing to continuous improvement strategies by providing an integrated approach to all aspects of quality, health and safety, environmental, and sustainability management systems. Indonesia's Economic Development (MP3EI) envisions an expansion in economic activity and a shift towards higher value added production through improved technological and skilled labour inputs. This will definitely require right human resource mobilisation which is one of the key strategies towards Indonesia’s Vision 2025.
