SHERATON GRAND JAKARTA GANDARIA CITY RECEIVED 5-STAR HOTEL CERTIFICATE FROM PT. SGS INDONESIA
Jakarta, Indonesia, 23 Agustus 2017 – Sheraton Grand Jakarta Gandaria City Hotel, received 5-star Hotel Certificate from PT. SGS Indonesia, the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company. The certificate was delivered by Shashibhushan Jogani, SGS Indonesia Managing Director and Peter Hvidberg, SGS Global Business Manager forTravel & Hospitality at Hotel Sheraton Grand Jakarta Gandaria City and received by Richard Suter, General Manager Hotel Sheraton Grand Jakarta Gandaria City, Jakarta.
Sheraton Jakarta Gandaria City Hotel is the first Sheraton Grand property in Indonesia, opened in 2015. The audit was performed by PT. SGS Indonesia, Certification Body with KAN accreditation in June 2017 as per the regulation of Indonesian Ministry of Tourism in relation with Star Rating Hotel.
Audit covered all department in the hotel such as Food & Beverage Division & Room Division, Human Resources Department, Engineering Department, Finance Department. According to Gede Sujana, Hotel Manager, Sheraton Grand Jakarta Gandaria City Hotel, the management had prepared for the audit since the recruitment process. They held a thorough selection, background checking, education and attitude. “We have certified trainings by the government before the hotel is opened. 50% of the employee are licensed. So we are ready from experience, knowledge, skill and medical check-up.” He added.
With in-depth review of the operations of the hotel, SGS supports with expert opinion in improving the hotel business. SGS Auditors with expertise in Food industry, provide knowledge in terms of food processing starting from the receiving activities up to the guest table. “When we were looking for a partner to do this certification, we wanted to get someone that really is a partner who supports and guide us and has knowledge as it was our first time we apply for this.
